Abstract
Preparing teachers to use technology effectively in the classroom is a central issue the field of education faces in the 21st century. Pre-service teachers must not only be proficient in using technology for their productivity (eg. taking attendance, presenting content) but also prepared to integrate technology effectively into instruction. Often, however, the integration of technology into preservice teacher education programme takes a back seat though its importance has been realized. The major obstacle to integration of technology in the teacher education programme is the attitude of student teachers towards the use of such technology. This study is an attempt to train pre service teachers in integrating technology in the teacher education programme so that they can integrate technology for a collaborative project, understand the importance of technology and then use the same for their future students. Findings of the study reveal that student teachers showed a favourable attitude towards the use of Wiki as a collaborative tool.
