A STUDY OF MOTIVATION TOWARDS LANGUAGE LEARNING OF SECONDARY SCHOOL STUDENTS By Dr. T .M.Geetha [1] and Shankramma T Bolaraddi[2]

Abstract

Education plays a significant role for the all-round development of every individual and schools have a greater responsibility in education and nourishing every tender mind and also to make them to face the future challenges. Motivation is one of the most important factors affecting English Language Learning. English is taught as second language, studies have shown that Indian students realize the importance of English for their future endeavors’ and that students are extrinsically motivated by factors such as desire to get good grades, opportunities to further their studies and career advancement to improve their English. Motivation plays important role in English Language learning. In this regard the present research paper identifies the   effect of motivation in English Language Learning of the secondary school students.
