COMPARATIVE STUDY OF PSYCHOMOTOR ABILITIES OF INDIVIDUAL AND TEAM GAME PLAYERS IN RELATION TO LEVEL OF PARTICIPATION By Dr. Sanjiv Dutta

Abstract

The study was focused on Psychomotor abilities of players who have individual games and who have team games. The school and university level players were taken separately. A sample of 487 was taken for the present study. The psychomotor parameters studied are Visuo- Spatial Coordination, Psychomotor- Mobilization, Eye- Arm Coordination, Visuo- Motor Coordination, Psycho- Motor Stability, Eye- Hand Coordination and Eye- Leg Coordination. The data was collected with help of tests like Standing Broad Jump Test, Skipping Rope Jump Test, Basketball Wall Pass Test, Basketball Wall Pass Test, Volleyball Wall Volley Test, Soccer Ball Wall Volley Test, Mirror Drawing Test, Steadiness Test. Data was analysed with help of t- ratio technique. The results revealed that individual and team game players differ on various parameters.
