Abstract
The quality of education and the teaching learning process depends on the Teachers’ competency and efficiency. Professionally competent and professionally adjusted teachers are the need of the hour in the present day’s special school environment. Special teachers’ behaviours constitute much to the Psychological, Educational and sociological development of special children. The present paper details the report of a study conducted on the professional adjustment of special teacher. Survey method is used in this study. “Professional Adjustment Scale for Special Teachers”, prepared by the investigator is used. Initially, 200 special school teachers have been selected randomly. The findings reveal that the special teachers differ in their professional adjustment based on gender, subject of specialization and grade of teaching (SGT/BT) and did not differ based on their marital status.
