ATTITUDE TOWARDS HOMEWORK: PARENTS PERSPECTIVE By Dr. Kuldeep Singh Katoch and Mr. Pawan Kumar

Abstract
In the present study an attempt has been made by the in vestigator to study the attitude of parents
towards homework. For this purpose a sample of 200 parents whose children are studying in 6th to 10th standard schools were taken through convenient sampling technique. To collect the data attitude scale developed by Mishra (2006) was used. To find out the significance of difference between various groups t-t est was applied.
After analysis of data it was found that there exist significant difference in attitude of mothers and fathers towards homework. Mothers have more positive attitude towards homework than their counterpart fathers. There exists no significant difference in attitude of rural and urban parents towards homework. Further it was found that there is no significant difference in attitude towards homework of those parents whose children are studying in government and private schools.
