DEVELOPING A TOOL TO MEASURE THE TEACHERS’ INTEREST TOWARDS PROFESSION SCALE By Srinivasan[1] and Dr. V. Ambedkar [2]

Abstract

“Those who educate children well are more to be honored then they who produce them; for they only gave them life, that art of living well”. As well said by the great Greek philosopher Aristotle, our teachers are to be honored more than the parents because they make a human being to live and lead a proper life. So, now the pressure is on the teachers who make us to live a better life. The pressure goes on to the teachers’ part, in making the society to lead peaceful and harmonious life to live and not for a mere existence. Hence this paper focuses on teachers’ part. There are many aspects that measure teachers’ quality in unfolding knowledge to the generation the only main thing prior to all their aspect is interest. Since interest is also a contributing factor for a teacher which unveils many considerable and anticipated knowledge delivery by them. Hence this paper focuses on interest in teaching profession among higher secondary school teachers and aimed in constructing a tool named “Teachers Interest towards Profession”.
