INTEREST AND OCCUPATIONAL ASPIRATION OF TIBETAN STUDENTS STUDYING IN CHANDIGARH (INDIA) By Dr. Mukhtiar Singh[1] and Tenzin Yangzom[2]

 

Abstract

Interest is responsible for the persistent behavior of an individual. Interest affords pleasure, satisfaction, create enthusiasm, curiosity and strengthen vocational aspect of mind. Many Tibetans come to Chandigarh to pursue their higher education because Chandigarh is one of the reputed cities of the country known for its high quality educational facilities. Interest and occupational aspiration are two of the most important factors contributing towards education of Tibetan students coming to Chandigarh. The present study was designed to determine the interest and occupational aspiration of Tibetan students studying in Chandigarh. The study was conducted by involving descriptive survey method of research. The results show that there do not exist significant difference in the level of occupational aspiration of male and female Tibetan students studying in the Chandigarh. In the case of interest and occupational aspiration of male and female Tibetan students studying in the Chandigarh no significant relation was found.
