MODERNISATION IN RELATION TO REASONING ABILITY By Dr. Amandeep Kaur[1] and Ms. Priya Thakur[2]

Abstract

The present study aimed at studying the relationship between modernizations and reasoning ability among pupil teachers. The study also aimed at finding the significant difference between males and females on the variable of reasoning     ability and modernization. Descriptive survey method under quantitative research has been employed in the study. A sample of 200 pupil teachers was taken randomly from B.Ed. colleges of Ludhiana and Ropar districts of Punjab. The Modernization Scale (R.S. Singh and A.N. Tripathi 1987) and Reasoning Ability Test (Shailaja Bhagwat 2010) were used to collect data. Pearsons Coefficient of correlation and t – ratios technique were the statistical techniques. The results showed that reasoning ability and modernization are directly proportional to each other. The males and females do not differ in their reasoning ability and modernization.
