ATTITUDE OF PARENTS OF PERSONS WITH MENTAL RETARDATION TOWARDS COMMUNITY BASED REHABILITATION PROGRAMME By Simili P. Chacko[1] and P.S. Sukumaran[2]

Abstract

The study intends to find out the attitude of parents of persons with mental retardation towards Community Based Rehabilitation programme (CBR). Descriptive survey method was adopted for the study.  Attitude scale and general data sheet was used for the collection of data. The sample of the study consists of 102 parents of persons with mental retardation. Data on attitude towards CBR programme were collected through a standardized tool developed by the author.  The collected data were analyzed by using arithmetic mean, standard deviation, independent t- test, , and one way analysis of variance. The attitude of parents towards CBR programme was found to be highly positive
