Abstract
Education can play a vital role in the women Empowerment in this global era. Education is milestone of women empowerment because Women education is increased from 1901 to 2011 according to the Census of India report. If it enables them to responds to the challenges, to comfort their traditional role and change their life. Empowerment refers broadly to the expansion of freedom of choice and action to shape one’s life. It implies control over resources and decisions. For women, that freedom is curtailed by their voice and power. There are important gender inequalities, including within the household, since powerlessness is embedded in a culture of unequal institutional relations. Women must find ways to empower themselves to fight imbalance in society, and to participate equally in the ongoing process of development. When women feel they can operate in society on the same terms as men, then we can call women empowered. This article discussed evolutionary views about Women Empowerment and this paper stresses the importance of women empowerment through education.
