Abstract

           Emotional adjustment is an important means for defence against unnecessary disappointment and hurt. It is the process of managing of one’s emotions according to the situation in a socially acceptable manner. Teaching profession needs a higher level of emotional adjustment than any other profession. Here the investigator ventures to find out the level of emotional adjustment of secondary level student teachers of science subjects in Thiruvananthapuram district. The present study attempts to make a comparison with the emotional adjustment experienced by secondary level student teachers when analyzed on the basis of gender, age groups, locale, and educational qualification.
