Abstract
The present day English Language Teachers are computer literate, able to use Digital language labs and other gadgets at various levels. The modern, digitally competent English language teacher should be abreast for the 21st century teaching and learning tools. They are now expected to be competent in conducting online tasks and other digitally based activities to promote authentic learning. The modern English teacher should have an ELT website or blog which could be used to give and receive assignments and post digital ESL materials and tasks for developing authentic learning.
