Abstract
Adolescence is characterised with rapid change and much frustration for the individual. A child in the adolescent period is influenced by many factors. Especially in Girls her stage of psychological maturity, previous experiences, parent’s attitude and bodily conditions in her immediate environment, unique personality as it has already developed, individual growth pattern and self-concept including her feelings about herself. Achievement is related to adjustment. If an individual has not adjusted to mental problems, in spite of her potentialities, her achievement is poor. Poor adjustment implies inadequate adaptation, and frequently implies also a degree of associated fiction, tension or emotional disturbances (Chawla, TR, 1970).
