Abstract
Teaching and learning practices towards sustainability aim to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to address global challenges and work towards a sustainable future.
These practices integrate sustainability into pedagogy through approaches such as place-based education, project-based learning, experiential learning, and interdisciplinary teaching. While challenges exist, such practices empower students, enhance engagement, and foster environmentally conscious behaviors, creating a more sustainable and equitable society. Teacher professional development and supportive policies are key to successfully integrating sustainability education in schools.
