Study of relationship amongst creativity, self-concept and locus of control of XTH class students of government schools by Dr.Ram Prakash Gupta[1] and Ruchika Sharma[2]

Abstract

The present study seeks to examine the relationship among the Creativity, Self-concept and Locus of control of X-Class students. The present study was conducted on 160 students (80 boys and 80 girls) of 8 Government Schools of District Kangra of Himachal Pradesh. Tools used for Divergent Production Abilities prepared by Dr. K. N. Sharma; Self Concept Scale prepared by Dr. Harmohan Singh and test reliability was 0.80 for girls and 0.84 for boys; Locus of control scale prepared by Km. Roma Pal ant the reliability was 0.80 and validity was 0.76. After analysis of result, it was found that there is no significant difference between creativity of boys and girls of Government schools, urban and rural students they both creative. No significant difference between self concept of boys and girls, large number of students of rural government schools have high external Locus of Control. There exists some relation between creativity and self-concept of government school students. Self concept and locus of control also related to each other and creativity and locus of control also related to each other.
