Abstract
The present study has been conducted to investigate the level of life skills of higher secondary students. The study was conducted on a random sample of 810 higher secondary students studying in Nagapattinam District in Tamil Nadu. The life skills scale constructed and validated by the investigators (2016) was used to collect the data. The study reveals that the students have high level of life skills in dimensions of Self-awareness, Critical thinking, Decision making, Stress Management, Empathy, Creative thinking, Problem Solving, Emotion-focused Coping, Effective communication and Interpersonal relationship. Further, it is also observed that Gender, Locality and Types of school management have no significant effect on life skills of higher secondary students.
